I was not able to update this blog. Just imagine, the last entry I have here was on July 29, 2009! Can you believe that?

Anyway, there are a lot of things happened between July 2009 and November 2009. One, I got sick 3 times together with my daughter. Second, I already finish my first semester and now I already enrolled myself in the second semester and hopefully to graduate sometime in March 2010! Third, my father-in-law passed away due to cardiac arrest. Fourth, My hubby got sick too. He had a fatty liver and at the same time nervous breakdown and hypertension due to his father's death. Whew! My list just go on and on and on! I guess, I was able to send a message . . . I was so busy! Really!

Gonna take some hop now to cover up the loss. I still believe in the motto, "Better late than never."

Tired

I feel tired today. I went to Mediation this morning afterward fetched my daughter, prepared lunch and bring her back to school. Then after 3 hours fetched her again. At 5 pm I went to school just to found out that our professor will not meet us. So frustrating yet relieved because I was not able to study my lesson! I think my life is a little complicated!!!!!!!!

Reason for Losing Weight

I am one of those women who had exerted effort to lose weight but ended up frustrated. Why? Because its either we do not eat right and we are lazy doing exercises. I admit that I am lazy to do exercises. That is one factor why I have not attained my desired weight. So, at of this moment, I am disciplining myself to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and do even a 15 minute exercise. I hope after 6 months or 1 year I can lose even 5 pounds is already good to me.

I am trying to lose weight because I do not want to end up having heart problems, diabetes and other diseases related to obesity. So I believe that no other method to lose weight but still the traditional way; that is, to eat right, regular exercise and to sleep early for at least 8 hours.

However, some obsessed women turn into diet pills to speed up their weight loss. Most doctors are against it because it is not healthy to do so. The kidney and thyroid might get affected if we turn to diet pills. Others starved themselves. They do not know that the more they stop eating the less the metabolism becomes. Others turn to throwing up or vomiting. After eating what they love to eat, they visit the bathroom to vomit all they have eaten. This type of method is really unhealthy for they will end up in the hospitals suffering from bulimia. There are other unhealthy methods that people turn to just to lose weight but these can pose danger to our own lives.

FARM - now

I forgot to update about our farm house. It is still not done until now but the lettuce had already grown well and the strawberries are starting to bear fruit, so as the grapes. By the way, we have a new variety of papaya, it is called the tangerine solo. Mostly, in the market the solo papaya available is yellow but as for our farm we are having a tangerine solo. Hopefully we can get a good harvest for it to be sold in the market. Next time I will post some pictures of how it looks like now.

Its almost 2 long months since I posted here. As you can see my last post was on March 24, 2009. I was so busy doing my task.

Well today, I was able to tender my resignation. After more than a year of working, I finally given up to concentrate on motherhood! I felt so guilty that my daughter is deprived of my time. My boss was sadden by the news but I want to give priority to my family. I know I did made a wise decision and my husband is very supportive of it.

Well I welcome to be a full pledge mother starting on June 6, 2009.

A friend whose mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and the Doctor told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.The doctor said that the heat and the plastic of the bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast cancer. So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. Pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know and be aware and just might save us! The heat causes toxins from the plastic leak into the water and they have found these toxins in breast tissue. Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle when you can!

LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / GIRLFRIEND / DAUGHTER KNOW THIS! This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. No plastic containers in microwave.. No water bottles in freezer. No plastic wrap in microwave. A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at CastleHospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers... This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body... Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food.. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.... Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead. Vacation Time

As I told you, my hubby and I decided to take our daughter in Manila as promised. We decided to leave on or before 13 April 2009. Whew! Gonna take a week of vacation. Actually, when my boss will arrive on the 1st of April, I'm gonna tell him that I will resign for my daughter's sake. She really misses me. Before I used to stay home and I bring her and fetch at school. Ever since I worked, we seldom spend time together. You see, she goes to school, I go to work. Her school end up at 11 am and my work end up at 5pm. Then I go straight to school and by the time I go home she is already sleeping. My poor angel misses her mama so much. So I decided to let go off my career to spend most of my time with her. She was just 5 years old and I believe I need to be with her to strengthen her values. I hope I will be permitted to quit work.

Its almost a month since I posted here. Wait, when did I last posted . . . oh it was on January 14, 2009, huh! Tomorrow will be exactly a month! Oh well, how time flies. I was really busy but then I always try my best to be a regular visitor to those bloggers who visited my site. I just hope I can keep up or maintain my blog here. By the way, I was saddened yesterday because one of my bosses left for the States to take good care of his wife. His wife develop bronchitis and he was so worried, so he immediately filed his resignation to be with his wife the soonest possible. Even for a short time of him being here, we developed friendship and I was touched when he passed by my office to give some dried fruits and an apple and then he said goodbye. I know I was teary, he is such a good boss. I hope his wife will get well soon.

A Lesson For Us

My friend forwarded me with these message:

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home.
He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed: 'Dear Lord:
I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home.
I want her to know what I go through.
So, please allow her body to switch with mine for a day.
Amen!' God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman.
He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, Awakened the kids,
Set out their school clothes,
Fed them breakfast,
Packed their lunches,
Drove them to school,
Came home and picked up the dry cleaning,
Took it to the cleaners Went grocery shopping,
Then drove home to put away the groceries,
He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.
Then, it was already 01P.M.
And he hurried to make the beds, Do the laundry, vacuum,
Dust,
And sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home.
Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework.
Then, set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.
At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper. After supper,
He cleaned the kitchen,
Ran the dishwasher,
Folded laundry,
Bathed the kids,
And put them to bed.
At 09 P.M .
He was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint. The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: - 'Lord, I don't know what I was thinking.
I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day.
Please, oh! Oh! Please, let us trade back.
Amen!' The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied:
'My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though.
You got pregnant last night.'
I hope we shall help each other in caring for the family not to think of oneself's convenience. It teach us a lesson to give importance to wives who may always be at home but having a mountanous routinary task everyday.

Report Card

Last night, I receive my daughter's report card and she was able to maintain her grades. She ranked 10th in her class out of 30 students. Which made my husband and I happy cause she's doing well in school. One thing that we laugh about was the comment of the teacher, it says, " She participate well in school. Outstanding in oral and written examination but very talkative." Toink! Well, atleast she's talking and sociable towars her classmates. hehehehe. Anyway she is still young, we have just to let her grow and to guide her in exploring the world.

to face the world courageously

and corrected me when I'm wrong.

to the place

where I've stayed for years

There's still a lot of things to be done here. Although the upper outside portion is about to complete but the inner part is not. It needs a lot of furnished to do.

I am so excited to have an overnight stay here together with my loved ones. Actually, as I said before we usually take our visit here every weekends but just for a short period. I really wanted to stay here and feel the peaceful and unpolluted surroundings.

How to Hug A Baby

As I was reading my email, an email from one of my classmates caught my attention. It is entitled "How To Hug A Baby". Since I do have a 4 year old daughter, whom I still consider a baby, I got interested and read it right away. It was funny. Share this to all my blogger friends and visitors.

FOLLOWING ARE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR EVERY DOG TO KNOW :

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HUGGING A BABY :

1. First find a baby.......

2. Second, be sure that the object you spied was indeed a baby by employing classic sniffing techniques. If you smell baby powder and the wonderful aroma of wet diapers this is indeed a baby.

3. Next you will need to flatten the baby before actually beginning the hugging process.

**Note: The added slobber should help in future steps by making the 'paw slide' easier.

4.. The 'paw slide'Simply slide paws around baby and prepare for possible close-up.

5. Finally, if a camera is present, you will need to executethe difficult and patented 'hug, smile, and lean' so as to achieve the best photo quality.

Dogs, if this is properly done, it will secure you a warm, dry, climate-controlled environment for the rest of your life. !

My Treasure

One of my priceless treasures are my poems which I wrote during my teenage years. I did stop writing for more than a decade. I did forgot all of my composition until lately I opened my old boxes and found my collection. Its not so great though I count it as my treasure. Here's one of them ;

See The Farm House

Whew! It's almost done, the walls are already installed. We are still ordering the glasses for the windows and doors. I can't wait to have it all furnished!

The kids were running around it yesterday. They like it there because the air is cool and they love to look at the sea. They also want to stay there overnight. But then I told them that there's no electricity yet, its dark at night, so, they let me promise to have an overnight there if the house is already done.

The excavation for the pool is already done. I don't know yet what will be the design of the pool, I think I have to surf the net first before they cement it.

My daughter, my nephews and my niece were really excited when they got to see and learn that the hole is intended for the pool. They are already asking me to finish the pool first instead of the house. hehehehe. They all love to swim. Kids easily changed their mind instantly. Hay!

At around 7 pm, I and my husband stayed at this house for an hour discussing the arrangement of the kitchen, ofcourse we were bringing flash light. We did sat on the floor looking at the horizon and the tiny lights of the boat and some houses. We did relaxed.

My Job

I love my present job. However, yesterday I was reprimanded by our boss not because of my job performance rather because of conflict of interest (my job and my husband's business). Our boss was really upset.

I was really crying because it was not my intention to get involved but then sometimes we end up being in a not so good circumstances. To ease my pain, I asked my immediate superior to give me a time off yesterday afternoon, to which, he permitted me. I hope he can forgive me for I let him down. I also hope that he will not fire me because of that.

After 2 weeks . . .

We went back to our farm house and the construction is still going on. We went there about 6pm so its a little bit dark plus it rained last Sunday. See the progress . . .

It was slippery in going up. Sad to say I slipped upon going down, huhuhuhuhu, my butt hurts and my pants was full of mud. My sister laughed at me and Iwas so mad at her. . . But she did helped me in taking off the mud from my pants. hehehehehehe. Hay! Sisters are both a blessing and a cursed! Agree with me?

The Farm House - Update

After a week, we came to visit our farm again. Actually, we usually spend our sunday afternoon there. Take a look at the progress of our farm house.

We went home at around 9'oclock in the evening.

How I wish we can already spend the night here (sigh).

While checking on the progress of our farm house, I also visited the vegetable nursery about 500 meters from the farm house and look what I saw . . .

We commonly call this in the Philippines as kangkong

The tomatoes are starting to bear some of its fruits

What makes those vegetables different? We are using purely organic fertilizer which makes those looks, texture and taste different. One of the base that we use in our fertilizer is gano.

I pick some of those yummy veggies and made a salad for me and for my hubby.

We also planted some rarely grown fruit in the Philippines to which we also uses organic fertilizer, such as the following:

My Weight

As a common problem to all moms, WEIGHT!

This is my interest, to lose weight. Ever since I gave birth, I really wanted to bring back my old weight of 50kg. Really a mother is very fulfilling, however, weight becomes a problem. I envy those mothers who are very sexy inspite of having 3-5 children. I wish I could stay as sexy as they are. Hay . . . . . . . . . . . .

My husband told me that I am still sexy (gosh is he blind! I have so much bulges around my body!). He usually comforted me by telling, the inner person that counts more and not merely the outer or physical appearance. Well, I believe him but then, can't help it, I want to wear sexy outfit. Anyone agrees with me? Toink!!!!!!

Singing - My passion

When I was 6 years old, I found singing to be so much fun. I remember the song that I am really fond of, The Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston. I realized, singing was one of my passions however, I did not concentrate on such because I preferred to finish school.

I still have a passion for music and singing especially during videoke! Wooohoooo!

Though I was not able to really develop my talent, I am very thankful that God gave me such talent. Thankful that one way or the other, I was able to enjoy it by joining some choral contest in my high school and some school program. I do enjoy my singing until now but usually I perform it in the . . . BATHROOM! hahahahaha! I bet you do too!

See Her Grow

See how my baby had grown. I remember when I conceived her; I could not explain the feeling I had then. But fear had set aside instead, mother instinct and love for her set in. She is now 4 years old and I know I have still a long way to guide her, to mold her, and to love her for her to be a better person in the future.

I am really thankful that in my five years of being married, I was blessed to have a child and I am still hoping to have just one more, maybe a boy. . . preferably. Well, if it is a girl, still fine.

She used to be so fragile and so tiny and see her now she can already walk, run, write, jump and playing around, she can even add and subtract numbers on her own. I do hope my little girl will continue to grow healthy, strong and with so much love in her heart.

Our Farm

Last year, my husband and I decided to buy an agricultural land. What motivated us to buy such lot was because of my biological brother. Though, not an agriculturist, he's interest and passion was for agriculture, planting vegetables and fruits which are rarely found in the Philippines, such as strawberry, basil, lettuce, jujubi, grape vine, sweet bell pepper and salad tomatoes. Other commonly grown that he planted are banana trees, eggplant, lanzones, mangostene and cabbage. He often told me that he is an agronomist. Don't ask me what is that because . . . I don't know. I will research later. Toink! hehehehe. He even formulated his own fertilizer to which he called EM. EM is an organic and natural based fertilizer. We used it in our farm, meaning, our farm is free from commercial fertilizer, pesticide and herbicides. Its all natural and so healthy.

We usually go there and have our family picnic every Sunday in the afternoon after our congregational meeting. We usually pack fishes and meat to grill and chicken drumstick to fry for my daughter, my nephews and niece. We do have some fun going there plus we do bring our magic sing to sing out loud, hahahahaha!

My New Home 090108

Oh well! this is my new home. I just created it yesterday, the 1st of September 2008. It talks about my interest which includes my family, my hobby and all the things I love to do.

I will also include in this blog about our new home, our new farm house, that is still under construction. I will also post pictures, maybe next month when it is already fully constructed.

As for now I will start to tell my other blogger friends about this new home I created.
